1. Do you design homes/ granny flats/ rural accommodation/ cabins?


Our services are comprehensive hence we can design and build your home to lockup stage. We can also work from pre-existing designs from your architect or engineer. We assign a consultant on each project and this consultant is responsible for helping and advising you each and every step of the way.


2. Can you build my home/ granny flat/ rural accommodation/cabin using my design/plan?

We can build a home based on a design you have drawn yourself or had drawn for you by a designer/architect. Our professional designers are at hand to help you with your design if you need it.

 

3. What Australian regions do your services extend to?

We specialise in transportable buildings for customers all throughout Australia.

 

4. How long does it take?

Our initial appointment with you will outline the length of the project.

 

5. Can you send me a brochure?

Yes, you have the option of printing an electronic brochure or asking for a hardcopy by using our enquiry form.

 

6. Can I vary my design?

Yes, prior to starting the project you can vary any aspect of the design but this may impact on the costs schedule. Even after commencement you can usually make changes, as long as these do not affect work in progress.

 

7. How much does my home/ garage/ cabin/ shed cost?

This depends on the design and quality of inclusions. You will be given costs estimates in your “Schedule of Costs”.

 

8. How do I pay?

Deposit and progress payments are based on the stages of project completion and will be itemised in our “Schedule of Payments.”

 

9. What do I need prior to commencement?

We are licensed builders so we can take care of all aspects of buildings. If you wish to become owner-builder please refer to the Department of Fair Trading for more details.

 

10. Who selects the tradesperson?

We use our qualified tradespeople to complete your job. For onsite work you may use your own tradespeople.

 

11. Do you use trade-qualified staff?

Yes. All our tradespersons are fully qualified and insured.

 

12. Do you provide have a warranty/ guarantee?

All our components are covered by full manufacturing warranties. There is a seven year structural guarantee and a 12 months workmanship warranty. All inclusions come with manufacturers’ warranties.

 

13. What insurance do I need?

As we are licensed builders we carry all the necessary insurances on your behalf. If you opt for being an owner builder please refer to the Department of Fair Trading.

 

14. Do I need a council application?

Yes, but usually we submit the council application on your behalf.

 

15. What styles do you offer?

As we specialise in custom built homes, you can have any style you desire!

 

16. Do you build on sloping sites?

Yes. Homes to be built on sloping sites require a site inspection (obligation free) for us to provide an accurate quote.

 

17. Do you build on bearers and joists?

Yes. We build on bearers and joists on either flat or sloping blocks.

 

18. What materials do you use?

We usually pre-engineer, prefabricate and transport your home/ granny flat/ rural accommodation/ and/or cabin. Hence we use materials that are friendly to these processes.

 

19. What roofing materials do you use?

Our transportable and prefabricated homes are built with a Colorbond roof.

 

20. What is a PC allowance?

PC or (Prime Cost) refers to items, which vary significantly in cost including taps, vanity units and baths.

 

21. Do you build two-storey homes?

Yes, whether the site is flat or sloping.

 

22. What is a HIA Plain English Building Agreement?

We use the Housing Industry Association Plain English Building Agreement contract to outline the terms and conditions of the construction of your home.
