CTB Industrial ProjectsOur industrial projects include: • Electrical switchrooms • Engineered industrial buildings • Machine enclosures • Commercial offices • Computer rooms • Training rooms • Acoustic buildings • Control rooms • Customised air conditioning plants Case Study Gove , Northern Territory Australia Custom Transportable Buildings has delivered the first of a series of transportable buildings to Gove in the Northern Territory, as part of the Alcan G3 expansion project undertaken by the Alcan Alumina Refinery. The steel framed, steel clad switch room weighing 40 tonnes was transported by an ocean going barge direct from the Newcastle CTB headquarters to the Alcan Refinery in Gove. The size of this particular switch room meant that the building had to be fabricated in three pre-assembled modules and then disassembled for transportation by heavy lift platform trailers on to the sea tow 17 barge for delivery to its final destination. As part of the Alcan contract we were commissioned to manufacture and deliver 11 large switchrooms with the largest weigh in at a massive 900 tonnes and measuring 45 metres in length and 17 metres in height. These industrial structures were delivered to Gove in prime condition on budget and within tight delivery schedules. |
